Team
Invite operators, set roles, manage access.
The Team page is where you grow your workspace beyond yourself. Invite operators, set their roles, and manage who can do what.
Find it at Workspace → Team.
Inviting
Click Invite
Top-right of the team page.
Enter email + role
The email gets an invite link valid for 7 days. Pick Admin, Operator, or Viewer.
Optional: pre-fill name
Saves the invitee a step. Not required.
Send
They get an email; clicking the link creates a Humagician account (if they don't have one) and joins them to your workspace.
You can resend or revoke pending invites from the Pending invites section.
Roles
| Role | Capabilities | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Everything: AI rules, billing, integrations, invite/remove members | Cannot delete the workspace itself (email support) |
| Operator | Take chats, reply to tickets, see KB, run automations within their permissions | Cannot edit AI rules, change billing, invite members |
| Viewer | Read-only — see analytics, conversation history, KB | Cannot send messages or edit anything |
Role can be changed any time on each member's row. Demoting yourself from admin requires another admin to be present (the workspace must always have at least one admin).
Operator status
Each operator has a real-time status:
- Online — actively in the operator console; gets routed chats
- Away — logged in but idle / set themselves Away; deprioritized in routing
- Offline — not logged in; not in the routing pool
Operators set their own status from the user pill at the bottom of the side rail → opens the workspace popover → status selector.
Removing operators
On the team page, click ⋯ → Remove from workspace.
Effects:
- They lose access immediately
- Their assigned conversations stay in the workspace (they're reassigned to Unassigned automatically)
- Their personal Humagician account is unaffected — they just leave this workspace
Re-invite the same email later if needed.
Channels (operator scoping)
By default operators see all channels. To scope an operator to specific channels (e.g. "Anna only handles wholesale"), use Settings → Channels → Members.
Operator-to-operator chat
Operators can DM each other inside Humagician. Click any teammate's avatar in the Team tab of the chat sidebar → opens a private operator chat. These DMs are workspace-scoped (no cross-workspace teammate chat).
DMs aren't seen by visitors and don't show up in conversation history.
Mentions (coming soon)
@-mentioning a teammate in a customer conversation will notify them and add them as a watcher. Currently in development; the Mentions filter view in the chat sidebar is reserved for this.
