Huey
Your operator-facing AI assistant. Lives inside app.humagician.com and helps your team work the platform.
Huey is Humagician's operator AI — the same character that talks to your shoppers, but a private version that helps you (the team) configure the app, look up live data, and find your way around.
Huey is not the same instance as the customer-facing Huey on your storefront. They share a name and a personality but their tool sets and visibility scope are different. Operator Huey can read your workspace; storefront Huey only sees the visitor's session.
Where Huey lives
Two surfaces in app.humagician.com:
Dashboard panel
A pinned column on the left of the dashboard, always visible. Header reads Chat with Huey.
Floating widget
A round chat-bubble button in the bottom-right of every other page. Tap to expand; minimize to keep the conversation alive.
Both surfaces share the same conversation thread per workspace, so you can switch pages mid-question and Huey remembers.
What Huey can do
- Answer "where do I configure X" — Huey knows the app's layout (this docs site is its source).
- Look up your Shopify — orders, customers, products, in real time.
- Pull live workspace data — open chats, ticket counts, AI configuration, recent KB activity.
- Explain your data — "Why is my AI usage spiking?", "Which conversations went unanswered last week?".
- Suggest configuration — "Want me to set up an auto-engage rule for your sale page?" (proposes; doesn't apply without your approval).
What Huey can't do
- Send customer-facing replies. Huey will never DM a shopper or post in a live chat. Customer messages are always operator-driven.
- Modify your settings. Huey can read your AI rules, but won't change them. It'll suggest the change and link you to the right page.
- Cross-workspace access. Huey is scoped to the workspace you currently have selected.
Asking Huey effectively
Some examples of questions Huey handles well:
- "How do I turn on auto-engage just for product pages?"
- "What was the last order from [email protected]?"
- "Why does my Responder keep escalating refund chats?"
- "Show me ticket counts by status."
- "How many conversations did Huey handle solo this week?"
- "Find the chat where someone asked about the green snowboard."
Things Huey is less good at (yet):
- Multi-step setup tasks ("set up the entire help desk for me")
- Cross-tool reasoning that spans your full Shopify analytics + Humagician + email
- Generating product descriptions (use Promoter for that)
Tools Huey uses
Under the hood, Huey calls two tool families:

You'll see which tools Huey called for each reply as small chip tags under its messages.
Privacy
Huey conversations are scoped to your operator account + workspace. They're stored so you can resume where you left off, but no other operator (even an admin) sees your Huey thread.
Personality
Huey is the same character your shoppers meet — friendly, curious, succinct. The operator-side prompt nudges toward being more direct + technical, since you're the team. Less "Sure thing! ✨", more "Done. Here's the URL."
Resetting
Click the ↻ icon at the top-right of the Huey panel to start a fresh conversation. The previous thread isn't deleted — it just stops being the active one. Use this between unrelated tasks so Huey doesn't carry context across topics.
Coming soon
- Action mode — let Huey actually flip toggles and create rules on your behalf, with a confirmation step
- Scheduled briefings — "Every Monday morning, summarize last week and post the top issues"
- Cross-app awareness — Huey aware of related Fluenik tools (Uptivus, Emvara, BRAM)
