Workspaces

One workspace = one store + one team. Here's how the boundaries work.

A workspace is the top-level container in Humagician. Each workspace ties together one Shopify store, one operator team, and one knowledge base.

What lives inside a workspace

  • One Shopify connection. Each workspace links to a single Shopify store. Multi-store merchants create one workspace per store.
  • A team. Operators with one of three roles: admin, standard operator, viewer. Manage in Workspace → Team.
  • A knowledge base. Help articles, AI documents, paths, and learned products — all scoped to this workspace.
  • Conversations + tickets. Everything is keyed to the workspace. You can't see another workspace's chats.
  • Widget profiles. Most workspaces have one default widget; you can create variants for different storefronts (e.g. wholesale vs. retail).
  • AI configuration. Agent toggles, rules, instructions, and per-agent token limits.

Switching workspaces

If you belong to several teams, switch via the workspace pill at the bottom of the left rail (the one with your avatar + workspace name + chevron). Click it → choose a workspace from the popover.

The selected workspace persists across sessions per device.

Change roles in Workspace → Team.

Multi-workspace teams

Some teams (agencies, multi-brand merchants) span several workspaces. Each operator picks which workspaces they belong to; data never crosses workspace boundaries. The same email address can be invited to N workspaces.

Naming + branding

The workspace name appears:

  • In the operator app's left rail pill
  • On your operators' invite emails
  • In email-channel ticket replies (as the "from" name unless overridden)

Update it in Workspace → General.

The workspace name is not what shoppers see in the chat widget — that's controlled by your widget profile's title field. See Chat widget.
